So the fallout has begun since the US Government decided to free the assets of online poker giants PokerStars and Full Tilt.
Approximately $33 million dollars of players funds was frozen, and although both PokerStars and Full Tilt insisted that they would sort things out promptly, it looks like Pokerstars are lagging behind in this regard.
The big question now is what will happen next. Will the US just watch Tilt move onto different payment processors and carry on taking bets from US players?
PartyPoker, the ‘white knights’ of the online gambling industry (can there be such a thing?) will clearly be loving the effect this recent action is having effect on their competitors that are still ilegally taking US players. Would you want to put your money on a poker site that’s being interferred with by US authorites? Hmmm.
